Day 71 -- still 29 pounds gone

3-12-07
Day 71 -- still 29 pounds gone
265/236/200

I got back from my hill today -- for the very first time I walked up
and down by myself. Took me 59:54 to do so. Did it without a backpack
but I'm going to try that in the future.

Got on my scale today, still was at 236 and so still 29 pounds gone.
Did well yesterday but had a fair amount of salt and that probably
affected my scale this morning.

Nice evening tonight -- sky was pleasant, setting sun as orange-gold
as one could have wished.

So far today I've had about 800 calories and I hope to keep it under
1200 today.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Yours,

Caleb

Hi!

I am brand new to looking @ this group. I have a question... what are
the #'s at the beginning of your post for? Is it Start Weight /
Current Weight / Goal Weight ? Just a guess...

So is this a site where people who are dieting & exercising just post
to each other & give recipes? I've never joined a google group
before, so I apologize if I sound ignorant.

Thanks!

another group option is alt.support.diet. It is just another "flavor" but
has the same theme of weight loss.

Jamie --

Welcome!

You're right -- 265 is my starting weight, 235 is my current weight,
and 200 is my goal. Hence, 265/235/200.

There are some recipes here and some posting of exercise as well! If
you'd like to see a busier group, you also might want to check out
alt.support.diet

Sometimes that group can be a bit rough and tumble and it's important
to remember that advice you get over the internet might well be wrong,
unimportant, etc. You certainly should trust your primary care
provider and take whatever anyone says with a big grain of salt.

Having said that, I hope you will post here often!

What is your status and what are your own goals?

Yours,

Caleb
