VICTORY !!!

I moved the the US in 2002, in California. When I moved in I didn't speak
english much and had to get used to the idea of being married, living in a
city (San Francisco) learn to forget about earthquakes. A few months after I
moved in I started WW and put most of my efforts on getting in shape and
learning a new lifestyle.

Through all that I've been trying to find my way to getting my teaching
credentials, I've hit bumps at every turns, given up many times only to turn
around and give it "one last try".

Last week I went to the University here and met with a rude lady who pretty
much told me off and I was ready to quit again.. but I decided to push some
more. Went back there today, met with another lady and she broke down step
by step the things I need to do to get this done. From begining to end I
KNOW what I need to do. So if a step doesn't work, I figure it out and keep
going!

So by the end of september I could be subbing, and by April-May I might have
my full credential!

Who cares how long it'll take! I'm going forward !!!

I think I'm the happiest I've been since my wedding day!
Will~

Willow, this is a huge success and you will probably find it more
satisfying than the crazy WW leader schedule. I knew I could never do it
because last one hired has to travel all over the place to do meetings
and they are so spread out. What grade/subjects do you want to teach?

I am sooooooo glad you didn't give up. Not all of us here are like
that rude one. They live in so much fear I can almost feel sorry for
them. Well, almost.

I work at a university in SC (not a teacher) I just do monky work
(tech-support) I run into the mightier tha thou mentality all the time.
Like I said, almost. Fear is a funny thing.

Keep at it girl.

I was teaching history and morals (which is really an ethic class, they just
never changed the name). Also social studies...

I miss history.. I miss the teenagers. I love Weight Watchers.. but it IS a
lot of running around.. for each 3 hours paid, I work 5 at least... and
gas.. and...

Also, as much as I hate money, I want a bigger home with a real backyard, I
want to not worry that if there's an emergency in my family I won't have the
money to go (I'm from east Canada, living in California, going home cost
around 1000$ round trip)...

It's just time to do something.. I've given WW all that I had to give.. now
I want it to become something I do for fun... not for a living..
