Trying to make point counting less time consuming

Yesterday I had an idea to start making meal cards. I got me a recipe box and
some index cards. I'm going to start writing down my meals with portion size,
of everything that I had for that meal. And that why when I have that same
meal again I can just look at the card and know how many points or calories
it was. I have a tendency to eat the same foods with each other. I usually
like rice with baked chicken, bake potatoe with a steak, and bran cereal with
banana and Oj is my favorite breakfast. So anyway I'm going to try this and
see if makes my counting points a little less time consuming. I also have my
few restraunts that we like so I'll make some cards for them and that I'll
know what I'm going to eat when I get there maybe that will make other things
less tempting. Most of them has the nutrients facts on their web site if
their a chain. Applebees and garfield's offer a lot of choses for WW.

Does anyone else have any ideas to make watching our diets any easier or
better?

Lori

something else I thought of, many people figure out the points on
canned/packaged items when they get home from shopping and write them on the
packages as they are put away, then later you do not have to stop and figure
it out, you just get the item and write it down, Lee

I found this website that makes looking for weight watchers food much easier,
they list the point value for all the items on their site.... All their Items
are under 3 points and it definately makes shopping easier with the points
already calculated.

Thanks Miss any and all suggestions help. My husband follows the diet with me
but he wont look up his on points I do it for him and make his menu out and
leave it out on the bar so he knows what to eat if I'm not there. He works 12
hrs a day and runs a small ranch so he really dont have time and I've got to
figure mine anyway so I just add an extra helping of something because he
gets a few more points than me.

Are you a WW Leader if so please go to my thread "Looking for a WW Leader" I
have updated some info in there and I'm really looking for a Leaders opinion.

Thanks Lori
