I report. Yoiu decide. Part III

The patient went back on wheat because of social pressure. It's not a hypothetical example even if the details are made up. Dr Atkins reported a fair number of his patients did exactly that for the same reason. Who among us has not faced endless opposition to eating low carb? The pressure to go off low carbing never ends. |

You know how married couples tend to only have other married couples for friends? And how singles tend to only have other singles for friends? I tend to only have other low-carbers, runners, cyclists, athletes, health and fitness people, etc., as friends. I don't have to keep explaining all this stuff to them; they already know. And they tend not to have CRAP FOOD laying around, as a temptation. Then, "social pressure" works for me, not against me. -- Dogman |

I haven't. Of course, I only have eating occasions with my extended family
and apparently I raised my children right. We have a variety of vores in the family, vegetarians, eat everything types and the sole low carber, me. Of course, the fact that I lost weight on low carb helps to convince people that it's a good thing. The strange thing is that my brother and SIL who turned me on to low carb have gone off and she has gained quite a bit of weight. I am encouraged by reports of people with experiences that different from mine. Thanks to you and Dogman! The strange thing is that my brother and SIL who turned me on to low carb have gone off and she has gained quite a bit of weight. For me it happened the other way around. My SIL and her husband saw me lose a lot of weight so they tried low carbing, but not on any specific plan. Not knowing what to do they continued having cravings and gave up and regained. |
