LowCarb Snacks for long Road Trip

We're headed on an 8 day road trip this October, from NJ to FL with stops along
the way. I'm looking for some snack ideas, since I don't have a fridge in the
car (!), cheese and anything perishable is a no-no. I'm thinking nuts, maybe
some peanut butter, and my usual frankensnack per day, any other suggestions?

It's much easier with a cooler. I'd go the low carb bar route, nuts, and
that's about all I can think of.

A small cooler can be stocked with appropriate foods, and ice
replenished at convenience stores along the way as needed. You can
bring pre-cooked foods, tunafish and cut-up raw veggies and dip - that
sort of thing. It's do-able. :-)

take care,
Carmen

you can pick up pork rinds along the way at convenience stores and gas
station quickie-marts.

i would bring a cooler - is that possible? then you could bring cheese
sticks, and a bunch of other things. I would buy things as you go- you
aren't locked into the car! you should bring some non-perishables then stop
along the way.

i like to make my own beef jerky - you can bring jerky if you make/buy it
