nyny not too bad
 
even after the rather off program week, my average was within .2 of last
week so I am going to leave it at 160. Last weeks average was 159.9, this
week 160.1. Not as awful as I thought. I got a burst of renewed motivation
yesterday, so this week I expect it to go back into the one fives. I found
out something interesting yesterday. I Planned to eat a "real" thanksgiving
meal. I did have several dishes that I planned to make full fat. Like the
dressing. And the potatoes. And the squash casserole. et al. I found
myself while cooking, just Not being able to do it. The recipe for the
stuffing said a stick of butter. I ended up with a couple of tablespoons.
It had sausage, and I used what I had, which was a very low fat highly
seasoned garlic and basil sausage made from chicken. This trend went along
as I cooked. I found myself pouring most the fat off the drippings for the
gravy and using ultra low fat cheddar in the squash casserole. My daughter
made the mashed potatoes, and I did have some, but they did not taste all
That good so I had a small serving. I used fresh orange juice in the jams
instead of cream. Everything was delicious, I felt "too" full after one
plate with a bit of everything on it. Had a sliver of pie, and just could
Not eat the crust, knowing what was in there. Got really hungry in the
evening (a good sign) and had a turkey sandwich, with some baked chips.
Figured my points for fun and estimate around 45, but with hindsite probably
not that much. This morning the scalemonster said 159 again.! Another

is like I Can't not do it, even when I plan to not do it. It is true.

Good job on keeping things under control yesterday. I'm not sure how "good"
I was yesterday at the buffet. I concentrated on greens and salads to fill
up the plate first. Then I added the single slice of turkey and roast beef.
I did make the mistake of having some seconds. More asparagas and mashed
pototoes and sweet potatoes (plain) plus a small slice of ham. Did not
finish the second plate. For dessert I found one of the chocolate mouses
that had about 1/4 cup of mouse and lots of fresh fruit on top. I could not
finish it because I was stuffed.

Today is another day.

You have done very well with meal prep and eating. I did not. I now
have a number of days to recover.

Well, you had a great start though, with that low weight. I think we both
did well.
And it is the end of my week instead of the beginning and psychologically, I
just can't go wild on a Thursday :). Now give me a Saturday holiday and It
may be different. Hey, the neat thing is Christmas day is a thursday too!

Yup - both our WW meetings for Wed before Xmas and New Years are
cancelled - not that I have to go anyway. Same as last year and I
managed to be pretty good through both of them, losing slightly over
both two week periods.

I am sitting here computing (and creating slide shows of my various
trips) and occasionally dealing with the mess in the guest room (piles
of piles of paper) WAITING for dinner hour.

I am hoping to x-country ski again tomorrow or sunday or bike ride -
they are calling for dry and cool in town. We shall see
