Is there anyone out there who is taking Depakote? Depakote is used to control seizures in epileptics. It is often used an anti-depressant drug or in my case to prevent migraines. One of the side effects is weight gain - lucky me! Has anyone taking Depakote had success (or not) on Adkins? I was thinking about going to see my Dr. and maybe switching to Topamax (Topiramate). Topamax is also used to control seizures in epileptics and to prevent migraines but its side effects is moderate to extreme weight loss. Has anyone taking Topamax had success (or not) on Adkins? I can't function without Depakote as it has worked WONDERS in preventing migraines. Topamax is said to be equally effective. This is only my second day of induction. I have been taking Depakote for about 3 months now and have noticed only slight weight gain. Mark |
