If they're anything like me, they spend a lot of time lurking and very little time posting. I gain a lot of useful information from different posters--"regulars" or not--that serves to answer any questions I may have. A lot of posters will jump on the "fun" threads, or give ((hugs)) or woohoos! when appropriate, but don't feel comfortable in giving advice or asking for help. Or they're too busy living to be bothered with posting anymore... 2 cents. Amy |

Still workin' on getting below 180.5, but I'm eating a bit more than usual, but the worst I am doing is maintaining that weight. Not off my diet at all (it's for life), just too busy to hyperfocus on it. And I haven't gained any weight. :) -dissonance |

Dropped out and came back fall last year. Been pretty regular now for the past year. I'd be curious how many of us have been around for more than a year... det |

Have lost and regained weight more than once during that time, although I've never gone quite back to my starting weight. At one stage I stopped posting for several months when I had completely lost motivation, but then came back. I think I'm far from alone here in finding it much more difficult to post when I'm gaining weight or things just aren't going well. Just human nature I guess. Also, there are times when it doesn't seem worth posting because the group has been taken over by a minority of posters just here to stir up trouble and drive off the people with something to say. janice 233/161/133 |

Ah, but that's the BEST time to post - in order to bring back the order and sanctity of the group. I do wish that agent and OE had better killfilters for crossposted posts. As in a rule that states that posts that have a crossposted to "groupx" get deleted or do not get downloaded. |

I have been mostly lurking since I have been very busy this summer. Hoping
to be able to post more soon. Some are fast starters but when it gets tuff they give up. They just aren't ready to make the life long commitment that it takes to be successful. Was 340lbs when I first posted back in Aug2001 after losing 15lbs.
Lowest was 219lbs. Been in the 230s for over a year. Reason being that I'm letting my body tell me how much weight to lose, not the scale. -- Ron Ritzman http://www.panix.com/~ritzlart Smart people can figure out my email address |
