What is my daily caloric
I'm a 56 year old male, 6"2'2" and about 208 lbs.
I work out 6 days a week ( 4 days 1 hr aerobic, 2 days 1 hr,. weights,
and 30 minutes of aerobic training.
I work from home so a lot of the rest of the day isnvolves sitting at
my desk or waklking around the house.
I have seen various caloric calculators which claim to tell you what
your daily caloric requirements are but they have huge variations. Can
anyone give me a "general" idea of what mine might be?
Thanks,
Sy

The Harris-Benedict formula is one of the more commonly used metabolic rate
calculators (I've included it in my recently released WeightWare program).
Assuming your are "Moderately Active - Moderate exercise/sports 3-5 times
per week", it predicts you would require 2,972 calories per day to maintain
your current weight.
At the higher level of "Very Active - hard exercise/sports 6-7 days per
week", it predicts you would need 3,308 calories per day.
However, these are ballpark estimates only.
