If you already have a road bicycle, you should consider getting a "bike
trainer" where you attach the rear wheel to it, so you can ride
indoors. It can be a real inexpensive way to get cardio indoors
without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a cardio machine. I
depend on this and a treadmill when it's just too hot to workout
outside.
If you have kids 50lbs or less, as i do, i've tried carrying one of
them and walking up and down the home stairs... great cardio and leg
workout!
Also as a last resort, jumping jacks are good too!... oh, and if you
have access to a pool, then swimming is an obvious choice!...
No excuse to not do cardio when it's hot out!
