James, have you found that low-carb "study" yet? *The one where they
used "carefully controlled experiments [that] teas[ed] out what
effects are caused by what uninfluenced by idiosyncratic individual

You claim to champion the scientific method yet you hold in high esteem
anecdotes and testimonials. Your understanding of the scientific method
is suspect.

So, in other words, James, you just can't seem to find that low-carb
"study" that made you try it, right?

The one where they used "carefully controlled experiments [that]
teas[ed] out what effects are caused by what uninfluenced by
idiosyncratic individual variations" yet?

I didn't think so.

You are the last person here that should be demanding
studies. You have none of your own. You've also made
the claim that there are no LC studies, particularly back
in the days of Atkins. As I recall, Atkins freely admitted that
he based his work on the results of others. Those that
preceeded him include Ketwick who did a study that
put people on a LC diet back in the 50's. In other words,
there were at least some studies that applied to LC going
back a very long time.

Now, where is that study that shows wheat, as opposed
to similar LC's or other effects is the cause of "wheat belly"?
It would be very easy to do. Just replace wheat with other
similar refined carbs.

I also think that speaks volumes about you.

Yes, I champion the scientific method, and so should everyone. I also
hold all kinds of information in high esteem.

Yes, and your version of what constitutes science and
the "scientific method" has lead you to conclude:

HIV is harmless
AIDS isn't caused by HIV
AIDS is caused by poor diet, lack of sleep
No virus can cause cancer
HPV isn't a cause of cervical cancer.

Quite an achievement!
