Default How much I really weight?

Two weeks ago I started checking weight, and it was between 220-225.
Today, I am less then 210, point seems to be on 207. I know about
weight fluctuation, and surly I couldn't have lost 18 pounds in two
weeks? I only walk about two hours per night. Am I reading too much
into it?

As long as you don't use your initial loss in any way to compare
against later loss I don't see anything wrong with being happy
about a lot of water loss. Your high was 225. You are currently
at 207. The difference is 18 pounds. It is unknown how much of
that 18 pounds was water but definitely most of it.

I know about water retention issue, since I am a man I assumed I
wouldn't have such problem. It's bit strange to me. In the morning I
had 2 cups water - 600ml, now I had 750ml of water, but I weight 205,
in the morning I weighted 207

When I went on Atkins Induction I lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks. Later
loss rates suggested that I had probably lost 2 pounds of fat and
that suggested I lost 6 pounds of water. But early on that was just
a wild guess. When I neared my maximum loss I tracked the scale
rating daily. I did a weekly average to have a trend and I logged the
daily numbers to discover my water retention bounce. Sure enough
it ended up 6 pounds.

I no longer think big water retention swings are unexpected and I
long ago gave up trying to figure them in terms of hormone swings
(I'm also male).

There is one other thing I've noticed when folks have very big water
retention swings at the start - They often have very sudden swings
up when they cheat. That suggests a theory - food intolerance that
causes water bloat. Remove some specific food from your diet,
water goes away. Add that specific food back, water returns in a
rush. As a low carber I've seen this happen with folks going on and
off grain. I don't know of any study that confirms this theory so it
remains an untested hypothesis. So - Is there a specific food
ingredient that you used to eat nearly every day that you stopped
eating completely when you started? I bet if you add it back wham
welcome back 10+ pounds of water bloat in a flash. Speculative
to be sure.
