Got an explanatory link for this, Pastorio? No challenge, I was just thinking
about it recently.


I couldn't find an interlinear or parallel translation online. These
circle the subject and make the point.

Image is translated from a word with a root in the concept of shadow.
Likeness denotes resemblance. Given the incorporeality of god, they
must refer to characteristics other than the physical.

Some theologians have split these hairs rather finely and talk about
image as the inherent godlike properties we were created with and
likeness what became available with salvation. Too argumentative and
too fussy and too interpretive.

Like 3-dimensional beings trying to understand a 4-dimensional
