If anyone else would like to post their weekly workouts, please do so.

Mon: weights & core work
Tues: 2 miles, hill work (up and down the nasty hills next my
apartment, ug!)
Wed: 3 miles, slow pace of 10 min miles
Thurs: 2 miles, mid tempo, 9 min mile, with a warm of up 10 min miles,
the first and last half mile
Fri: no work out
Sat: 2.5 miles, mid tempo
Sun: 6 miles LSD (long slow distance, 10 min miles)

Total for week: 15.5 miles
Total for 2007: 15.5 miles

Week Beginning 8 January
Mon Rest
Tue 1M jog, then 2 x 1.5M (or 11-12 mins) fast, with 800m (5-min) jog
recoveries, then 1M jog
Wed 5M (approx 50 mins) slow
Thu 1M jog, then 2M (approx 18 mins) brisk, then 1M jog
Fri Rest
Sat 8M (approx 82 mins) slow
Sun 4M (approx 42 mins) easy

Will add in a swim and a couple of weight classes too. Can't say I'm
looking forward to Tuesday.

Don't try to do too much. If you're training for a marathon, that's your
focus. If you like swimming cool, but don't let that take energy away from
your running. I wouldn't even do Tues if I were you, not just yet anyway.
I'd get a couple more months running in. If it tires you out too much,
especially since you're running the next day, than just do a mid tempo run
instead. But, hey, if it feels good and works out great, go for it.

I'm following a Runners World programme so I'm going to try to stick to it
as much as I can. Tried and Tested as they say! They say that the long run
is the most important followed by the speed session so I'll do those. I
hope I'm not going to get too tired quite this early in the programme or
I'll never make it!
