Hmm....my mind tells me that at some point I will suffer some malady if I

C'mon, Zoul, you have been studying Usenet, nutrition etc for a long time
now. You can come up with general parameters to work from and specific
parameters if you tried.

Generally, if you don't eat for a month, that would be "bad". Work back
from there.

Why does a body generate hunger signals if there is no need to eat?

Why do we get horny when we have no need to procreate? Why? The body is an
imperfect mechanism; why would you suspect it not to be?

So how does one determine when and how much to eat, if hunger does mean eat?

Think about this. A month of no food = not good. Ok, what about two weeks?
Not good. One week? Well, debatable. So we have this down to 7 days.

How much did you eat before fasting? A ton? A little? Factor that in. You
count cals, carbs. Add them up. What do you believe you must have to
sustain a healthy life. As much as you had to intake during weight
maintenance? If so, why fast? You had a number.

But now you are challenging that number, aren't you. So take up the
challenge.

Divide your weight maintenance numbers in half. Will you die? Suffer a
malady? Of course not in any short term. So do it. See what happens. Learn
from it.

will you, in your present stat of solid mental health, allow yourself to go
so far that it will undo you? Little chance. You have food all around you.
Here is where your body may not lie to you; preservation instincts. you
will eat when it is necessary to survive but I doubt you will get that far.

Don't know, don't care.

Ought to. Much of low carb can be about ketosis and exercise in the ketonic
state is a learning curve in and of itself.
