Hi, does it really matter total calories per meal as long as I stay

It does not matter.

I.E. To loose approx 2 lbs per week I should be eating a maximum of
1800 calories per day.

Sounds like an overall healthy amount of calories.

I will have a light breakfast or a banana in the morning, lets say
approx 400 cal. For lunch I will grab a yogurt with some fruit, lets
say 200 calories. That means I could eat 1200 calories at night and
still loose weight right?

Yes. And it is a good idea to do that if you know yourself that the evenings
are a problem time for you. It makes sense, then, to save up for the
evenings so you can relax and not be under pressure.

I keep under 1700 calories a day and always like to try to do half before
dinner and half for the evening for the same reason and I've lost about 74
lb so far (since last June).

I don't usually eat much in the morning, and
could deprive myself for lunch if I can enjoy my favorite meals at
night and pig out. This can't be right???

Why not? But by all means don't "deprive" yourself. If you eat TOO little
the only risk is that you might get too hungry later on and overeat.

You might consider a mid-late afternoon "investment" of a couple of hundred
calories to keep your hunger at bay.

I think your idea is just fine.
