Default Thanksgiving - Work of the Devil

This is gonna sound stupid, but a few years ago I heard someone say
something that worked for me: "you only taste the first and last bites
of something: the rest of the time is mindless eating" That means
only eat the "first and last bites" rather than a big huge heap of...

I'm going to sound naive, here, but what do you have for Canadian
Thanksgiving?

Oh well, if you load up your plate, and different foods are running
together, you got too much. Try a little of everything but not a lot
of any one thing. If you find later on you are physically hunger (not
likely to happen) have a healthy sanck after the big gathering

Finally, remember, the point of a family gathering to spend time with
people you don't often see. If you're busy talking and getting caught
up with your relatives, your mouth will be too busy talking to chew
food.

Folks:

This weekend will be the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. That in itself is
not bad. What's bad is that with my family committments, I have 3 dinner
festivities to attend. What an unfortunate time to get back on the
bandwagon.

Short of staying home and curling up in to the fetal position, any
suggestions on how to deal with this weekend? I just know that once all
that most excellent food is hot and piping, I'll be a slave to my stomache.

Cheers!

Alex
