I'd agree that, strictly from the perspective of weightloss, the type
of calories is not very important. However, if one is interested in
building serious muscle, protein takes on much more significance. And
I gather that endurance athletes like runners and swimmers have a
significant dependence on adequate carbohydrate intake.
