Congratulations, Caleb. Thelow-caloriehas always been good for me. I
would not call it diet, though. I prefer saying that I have stopped
overeating. From October 2006 my daily calorie intake was about 3000
calories until I reached my personal record of 197 pounds. 44 days ago
I've had enough. I then decreased my daily calorie intake gradually
starting at 2000 to see the results I would get. In the last 11 days,
my average is 1530. I weighted 181 pounds this morning, a decrease of
16 pounds in 44 days. I look forward to leaving the 180's pounds and
read the magic number 179 on the scale!

I keep track of my daily calorie intake by listing everything I eat or
drink.

Mike -- Great for you! Your progress is terrific! I'm sure that very,
very soon you will wake up and break 180. EXCELLENT!!!

It's so easy for me to eat a heck of a lot more than 3000 calories a
day. 1530 calories a day seems a great goal for you.

Keep going strong!

Yours,

Hi Caleb. I'm OK with 1500 or 1600 calories a day. This morning, for
the first time in about 3 months, I hit 180 pounds. I just weighted
myself, 16 hours later, and weight 183... But it's all right, I don't
let myself panicking with numbers. I just focus on the lower number I
get. Hopefully, I can read 179 by the end of the week. Surely, I
would like to get results faster, but I'm thinking that if the weight
comes off fast, I can get it back fast, too. So the slower the loss is
going, the better.

What do you think of the importance of getting lots of fiber? This
morning, my breakfast was All Bran Buds with water, pretty disgusting,
though. A cup gives me 36 grams of fiber for 210 calories. Adding up
the fibers in the Lima beans, I took more than 40 grams of fibers. I'm
thinking that getting out of this garbage inside will help me
progressing. Am I right to think like that?
