Home canning is much different than commercial. I've had veggies and fruits
that were put up by my friend who is going to teach me to can.

Seafood around here pretty much sucks because it's nearly impossible to get
fresh or wild except from Lake Michigan which is so full of mercury I
wouldn't eat it anyway. Luckily I live in an area with thousands of lakes
and lots of walleye and panfish - I just need to learn how to catch the
buggers.
