Default Carbs and depression?

On Sun, 21 Sep 2003 16:27:26 GMT, Luna
announced in front of God and
everybody:

So this past month I ate more carbs than usual, don't know exactly how
many, but I had some pretty bad off-plan days. Besides slowing my
weight-loss, I've noticed I just don't feel as good emotionally. I don't
know if it's guilt over cheating on the diet, or an actual physiological
effect from higher carbs, but I feel kinda PMS-ish, mood-wise, and I don't
have PMS since I'm on Depo and my next shot isn't until mid-November. Has
anyone else experienced this down-side to adding more carbs to the diet?
Regardless, I'm getting back on the wagon and going back to strict-mode.

Oh yeah. Every time I go substantially off-plan (which includes the
last few days, which has included several slice of toast and potatoes
at a couple of meals ... sigh).

Carbs bring back that mildly depressed, pressure-in-the-head feeling
for me, as well as fatigue and pain in my muscles and joints. Which is
why today is back-on-the-horse day. Again.

Dawn
(who could have probably lost the equivilent of three whole people by
now of she didn't slide off-plan so often)
