I am new to the Atkins diet so pleas can you tell me when you weigh for
example meat you do it before or after coking?

after.

I prefer to weigh it before. Depending on how it's cooked and how
long, it loses differing amounts of moisture, and therefore weight,
during cooking.

er, yes. that's why i weigh it afterwards.

But it has the same calories after it's lost X percent of its water.

honestly? i never thought of it this way. you're right, of course.

That's why I weigh it before.

the only reason i weigh stuff is if i intend to record it, and i
generally record what i actually consume. if i eat something raw,
that's what i weigh & record. if i eat something cooked, then *that's*
what i weigh and record.

six of one, half dozen of the other. or something.
