Default Hey, Neil ( calorie counting)

Well, I decided to count everything today.
For dinner I made a huge batch of chicken stir fried-rice.
Chicken breast, broccoli, pea pods, corn, bean sprouts, some soy
sauce, ginger, rosemary, very little olive oil. And brown rice.

It made 10 cups total. I ate 2 1/2 cups, which is quite alot of food.

I ran everything through a calorie calculator, and the entire wok full
of food was only about 1700 calories. That means my bellyful was only
about 500 calories!

Now that's some bang for the buck, in terms of calories. Plus a great
fiber blast!

I even created a spreadsheet that adds up all my calories consumed,
subtracts my exercise calories and my BMR calories, then divides that
amount by 3500 to tell me my delta-weight for the day.

So in theory, the spreadsheet tells me I'm down .38 pounds.

It will be very interesting to do this for a week or two and see if
any of it is accurate.

I shall have to measure my vodka tonight, though, which I'm not in the
habit of doing.

So what did you end the day with, Mitch?
