Default Using low-carb diet to fight cancer

Yup. In fact, eating carb alone is worse as it causes higher bg rises.
It's better to eat it with fat, which slows the absorption.

you are supposed to eat carbs because of your kidneys

Also note that ASLDC has folks who started low carbing even
after having been diagnosed with kidney damage and they saw
improvement as a result of their dietary changes. With existing
kidney damage, caution is called for, but low carbing when
carefully done is definitely known to help in some cases.

The typical cause of kidney damage is elevated bg, thus carbs cause the
problem rather than solve it.
