Quoting "John E" :

Hi folks,

How often can you do weight lifting while LC'ing?

Is a daily thing too much?

Unless you're doing a split routine, the answer would (generally) be
yes.

As a beginner (and dieter), I'd recommend that you keep it simple and
do a full body workout 2-3 times a week. Pick a routine that
emphasizes a few good compound lifts, and that you can complete in
about an hour.

It could be something as basic as squat, deadlift, bench, with
crunches thrown in if you want.

Or squat, stiff legged deadlift, bench, pullup/chinup.

Etc.

Further examples of routines; go to:

(see weights menu)

Aren't you supposed to rest
your muscles? How long? Is 1 day is enough?

See above. Full body on Mon-Wed-Fri would work well.

Or more given
that your workout is about one hour of continuous sets using almost
the maximum possible weight that allows you to do
12 repetitions per set, 3 sets per exercise?

Nope. Lift heavy. 4-8 rep range.

I know any weight lifting is good, but what's realistic and productive?

See suggestions above.

What's realistic (while dieting) is to minimize muscle loss so you
don't end up looking like Jared when you're done losing.

What's efficient and productive is to keep your workouts simple, yet
consistent.
