Default Ohio University: KFC

People here seem to be more "dead level serious" about doing what is
acceptable than I did on "induction." I didn't realize it was about
"breaking bad habits" other than sugar, and didn't worry too much about
not eating ketchup, etc...I just made sure that my total carbs weren't
over 20 for each day, and I counted each teaspoon of catsup, etc. Of
course, I had to guess on some things.

Do the best you can and it is probably okay. If I were you and had to eat
KFC, I wouldn't eat the extra crispy...just eat the regular fried
chicken...the softer kind. Since you don't know what is in it, it is kind
of a gamble, but eat the chicken, drink water or diet soda and leave. I
would have been too tempted with all that food around! (I can't remember
what else is for sale at KFC, but I'd stay away from the cole slaw as you
don't know how much sugar they put in it.)

Drop by the store and pick up some cheese sticks and dried kielbasa, if
they have some, and celery sticks and munch on those. If that doesn't
sound good, well, pepperoni and melted mozarella over it...maybe that
would be a good snack. It would be hard trying to do it out of a dorm
room if money is at all an object...esp. since you may be paying for the
dining common food already.

People told us that they lost weight even without using the "official"
induction method. Maybe you might have to try that, and just cut the
carbs...go ahead and eat the pizza sauce and toppings without the bread,
in other words. I think it would have been too tempting for me, however.
