Here's my delema. I feel burned out with diets. It seems like I'll
never succeed. I am 61 and feel because of the pain I'm having, that
there isn't anything else I can do. Whats frustrating is the more pain
I have, the more I eat. It could be that it is the food irrating it,
Don't know yet. I'm not feeling sorry for myself, just feel like I
can't get through a day without eating too much. We are talking lots of
weight here. I am 232 pounds. Where do I start. The weight might be the
problem I can't stand, yet I eat, knowing this. Anybody got any
suggestions where to start?

As was mentioned in a previous post, Weight Watchers might be a good
starting point for you. I used WW years ago to lose weight and have used
many of the methods they taught me to maintain that weight loss. I was just
a little younger than you when I initailly lost my weight. I was 54 and
soon to celebrate my 64th birthday.

Don't think of this as just another diet. It has to be a lifestyle change -
one that will result in weight loss and improvement of your health
situation. Why not try changing just one or two things at a time until
you've reached your goal. Take a look at your regular diet and eliminate
any high calorie foods such as soft drinks (regular not diet), white bread,
junk foods, etc. It can be very overwhelming if we try to change everything
from day one.....
