Hi

I have been on a diet for about 2 weeks now, which basically consists

of
one
meal per day, and lots of fruit. I have two questions if some of you

don't
mind answering :-

1 - Can you eat too much fruit per day? ( I usually only eat apples,
oranges, tangerines and banana's )

Yes, surely you can eat too much fruit.

Why is that? I thought fruit was good for you?

Too much of anything is not good for you. You need calories but too many
are bad for you.

2 - Does it matter if you take lots of fruit at the one time? For

example, I
can come in from work at 2:30 in the afternoon, have a small diner,

and
later on ( about 7pm ) I would take 2 oranges, 2 apples a banana and a
tangerine. Is that too much at the one time or am I better spacing the

fruit
out, or does it not matter with fruit?

If you really overdo fruits like apples, you can become quite
flatulent!

What is your reason to go on a specific diet like yours?

I am really overweight, and I think this is the best way to do it. I have
cut down my eating by 1/3, approx.

You need exercise to be healthy. You are probably starving yourself on only
one meal a day and making up the calories with only fruit is also unhealthy
because it almost guarantees that you will miss out on some nutrients.

Eat a wide variety of food, with limitations on fat and refined sugar which
provide little nutrition. Control how many portions you eat and the size of
portions. And exercise up to 30 minutes a day.
