Default Binge-eating is seen as eating disorder

It is recognized as growing health problem in U.S.

[snip story]

You know, it's funny how people seem to mainly binge on sweets and salty,
highly processed carbs. So... the obesity epidemic is caused by "underlying
mental disorders" that play out because of an "overabundance of unhealthy
food and poor exercise habits."

But it's funny that for most of us who *used* to binge, at least
occasionally, keeping the carbohydrate content of our diet fairly low seems
to pretty much stop that behavior. It returns when we start eating too many
carbs, though. So how can it be all in our heads? We seem to have a lot of
health professionals who are missing the boat in a major way, don't we?
