Default Which of these philosophies on weighing yourself do you agree with

I TOTALLY & STRONGLY DISAGREE with people who tell you not to weigh
yourself frequently. How the hell are you supposed to know how well
you are doing or how badly you screwed up if you don't weigh yourself
every day?

How often I weigh myself is a very strong indicator of how much I am
mentally into losing weight. I weigh myself several times a day and so
far I lost 23 pounds in 6 weeks. If I weigh myself infrequently, it
shows that I am not really into losing weight very much. When I am
like that, I don't lose weight. You have to be passionate to
accomplish anything in life. Indifference doesn't accomplish anything.
Frequent weighing shows a strong passion and dedication to losing
weight! That's what it takes!

Brian Tracy is the world's best success guru, and he says that
whatever number you focus on and keep track off, the more you improve
in that area of your life. So if you keep meticulous track of your
weight and weigh yourself frequently, it will greatly help you to lose
weight. Every day I write down in a text file the lowest weight I
achieved that day. In my business, I also keep meticulous track of my
sales every single day. And as a result my sales increase over time.
These numbers are extremely important to me. It's important to know
what's going on and what kind of behavior produces what kind of
results. By seeing how fast or how slow I lose weight, I can see what
kind of behavior on my part causes that. Also if I gain weight, the
scale lets me realize immediately what I did wrong and how badly I
screwed up. Basically if I eat any kind of high carb food, my weight
goes up pretty fast, so I need to stay off those.

I got a new electronic scale with big blue LED numbers on it. It's
easier to read, more convenient, quicker, and more accurate than my
old mechanical scale with the spring mechanism. It's very conducive to
being used frequently, so I do use it much more frequently. I think it
actually helps me lose weight by giving me so much quick & easy
feedback. It really helps keep me on track. If I go off my diet a
little bit, the scale will reflect that immediately so I know I need
to cut back again and exercise some more and stick with the healthy
foods.

I think people who tell you not to use the scale every day are way off
base and giving very bad advice. Feedback is extremely important. The
more you have, the better. Having infrequent feedback is just a really
stupid idea. Perhaps there are some weak-minded people who can't stand
to be hit with reality. Well that just means that they are losers and
they need to change their attitude to become winners. It doesn't mean
that weighing yourself is a bad idea. If the number on the scale isn't
going down, then it means you're doing something wrong and it's
telling you that you need to do some different things and try harder,
like eat healthier, cut out empty carbs, exercise more, drink more
green tea, eat fewer calories.
