Default Day 6 and 4 pounds gone. In a hundred days I hope to have 50 pounds gone.

Doug - -the research shows that even taking off a moderate amount of
weight for a while can really, really help with diabetes.

You familiar with that research? Doesn't even have to be for too
long.

By the way, not much action here in the last few months I guess.

It is amazing to me some of the nonsense I've read here over the
years. On very loud poster said "Daily exercise is harmful!" Several
people said that it was impossible to put on muscle while on a
weight
loss program. And of course the very common, "To lose more weight,
eat
more calories!"

You're good at pointing out the deficiencies in such arguments. Keep
up the good work!

Yours,

Caleb

Welcome back to another year of your 100 day system.
Expect to get called a troll this year as you have been
called in so many previous years.

From my perspective, I want a reasonably big weight loss to
maintain
motivation. Mildly changing doesn't work for me and I don't think
it
really helps to motivate a lot of people.

The thing is - When you go for all or nothing nearly every
time what you'll get is nothing.

You're sure demonstrated that in all of your previous years.

Everyone who's watched you over the years know you will be
able to lose. The losing part isn't easy but it is
straightforward.
The losing part is hard work but not conceptually difficult. Do
the actions and the weight drops.

The important part is keeping off as much of the loss as possible
for as long as possible. I notice that this year you have 50
pounds to lose. Is that more or less than your previous years?
If it's less then you've made real progress.

So let's talk about keeping it off. I can do it with low carb but
for me like nearly everyone else it's unstable. If I start eating
any foods from a specific list or over a specific glycemic index
I fall off the wagon and start regaining again. Over the years I
done regain phases as small as 10 pounds and as large as my
entire 50 pounds of best loss. Then I start all over again from
scratch. At best I do better in maintenance than you. At worst
I don't do any better in maintenance than you. But you rarely
discuss keeping it off.

Please stop the self agrandizement and just do it. And keep it off.
I no longer want to hear it.
