Default Blood Pressure Change

I've had high blood pressure for more than 20 years. Never better
than 180/90 on meds. Four days after starting induction it went to
120/70. I am convinced that the high BP has a lot to do with
sugar/carb/starch intake. Am going to the Dr on Monday morning and am
looking forward to starting the process of getting off the meds. Any
success stories? My wife and I have been on a month and have lost
about 20 lbs each. Can't wait for the blood tests.

I've heard that it can take 3-6 month for the full effect of low carbing on
blood pressure, but I too went down, from 160/90 to 118/70, after only one
month of low-carbing. I can't wait for my next visit to see how much
better I'm doing.

I, too, would like to cut the meds.

BTW, if you should start feeling light-headed, for instance when you stand
up too fast, that's probably your bp falling below about 100/70. It's not
dangerous, you just sit back down again. If you actually lose
consciousness, though, go straight to the doc.

And congratulations on the new numbers!
