I am not envious, I am not envious, I am not envious.
Actually it was in the mid 70's this morning we had this freaky cool front,
unheard of in August. I had a great time on el bikeo

9:15 pm - 58F, 68% humidity, dewpoint 48F, windchill 57F (YES!
windchill. Windchill temps have been included in the weather reports
the last couple of days.)
This morning's temp when I woke up was 47F. Yikes! That matched a
record low. Frost predicted overnight in the north. After that, this
cold front is moving east.

LOL! Well if you like *chilly*, you'd love it here. The downstairs
thermostat
showed 68F in the house ... ran quickly to the bank, the car
thermometer showed
61F, and now my weather program on my desktop says it's 58F/80%
humidity. Damn is
it cold. I would ask where summer went, but I'm not sure we really
ever saw it.

I have the three fans going at 6:45 am today to get the place cooled
down before it heats up later. More 80's predicted for today. It is
quite chilly in my den right now - perfect.

I'm telling ya, we are having some really bizarre weather here.
Yesterday I had
to relent and turn the air back on, the house was really hot (was 88
upstairs) and
humid. I woke this morning, puttered about the house for a bit then
ran out to
the mailbox ... dang was it cold! Temps dropped to mid 60's at some
point, had to
change back into jeans and a sweatshirt. It is currently 58F/85%
humidity ... and
I see where my brother is located it is registering 96% humidity ...
guess what's
coming our way. g So the temps are cooler, but the air is
certainly moist. g
Too cool to run the air so windows are opened again, which results
in more
humidity in the house, more in my limbs I fear. According to the
forecast, we
are to have at least 3 more days of this.
And I do expect MY weight to be up tomorrow ... sodium, sodium and
more sodium for
dinner this evening. sigh

Well, I guess yesterday's 90F here was somewhat responsible along
with
the sushi (soy sauce) and teriaki (soy sauce) for tight sneakers
and
sausage fingers most of last night!!! Hopefully, it will not be
retained until Weds WI.

I know that my eating hasn't been wonderful by any stretch of the
imagination, but
I'm also thinking water retention is playing a bit of havoc ...
too much sodium
and maybe too much regional humidity - even though the days are a
bit cooler this
week. Rings are tight, shoes are snug (which is a good indicator
for me) and boy
can that scale jump unreasonably up. More water, I definitely
need to drink more
water.

If either of you figure out why it's been tougher lately, please

not horribly off track, but it's definitely been more difficult
these days.
Weight up this morning, am guessing water retention as when I
slipped into my
shoes to head out the door this morning (my comfy moccasins) I
noticed they really
were snug and more difficult to get into than usual. Ahhhh,
swollen feet/hands is
generally a good tip off to me that there is something else
going on. And yes,
just now I realized my rings are tighter than norm also. sigh
But still ...
By the way ... I tried to email you Les, with a goofy
question/request for my
daughter - but I received a notification that after several days
the email was
cancelled (don't remember the technical reason). I removed the
*not* from you
email address ... is there something else I should have done?
