Default First time in 43 years.

Finally, after 5 days in the 241-243 range, I finally hit 238.0 lbs this
morn. Not since 1966 have I been under 240 lbs. Started at 281.
I'm not going by the 'book as I am using a crash weight reduction program
now at first (10 weeks). I seldom ever get over 23 points against my
allotted 34...whoops... now 33 points. I haven't yet used the bank. When I
get under 190-200, (to be determined) I will then adopt a maintenance
program with better menus, and more consistant eating times, and more
tasteful and different meals. Right now it is eat only when starved and
only eat meals less than 6 points (usually). All kinds of veggies, and
apples. Almost zero fat..but a little. High fiber.
I am also now officially 100 years old as I bought my first bottle of Prune
Juice, ever, yesterday. Those rabbit stools are hard to pass. Actually 71
years old.
My next challenge is to find a manner of living (eating), forever, that will
not allow me to put all that weight back on. This seems to be the big
problem with WW.
I hope I can honor the forthcoming maintenance diet so that I can use the
'bank', eat out occasionally, and have more tasteful and delicious entrees.
All without any weight gain at all. I'm not interested in putting on a 'few
pounds with a feast and then suffering to take them off for the next few
weeks.
My blood pressure in Feb was 140/110 (281 lbs), a week later 140/90 (still
281 but no coffee or salt). And last Monday 130/76 (242 lbs) which is as
good as it has been since the very early '50's (when I was a 'bubble
gummer). I have been on a blood pressure pill (40mg / day) Lisinopril since
July 2007.
I wish I had attempted this WW type diet earlier.
