Default "Curves" Experiences? ...

I'm wondering -- for those of you who are going to Curves -- are you
finding it effective for weight loss? What about for strength and
building muscle?

I joined as I'm 61 and have osteopenia. I needed to add some type of weight
training to my exercise routine.

I don't belong to Curves but I have experience with the hydraulic type
weights they use.

The gist of it is that it's nice for people who want to go from very
unfit to somewhat fit, but someone who is already in decent shape won't
find much benefit from them. Beverly, a busy 61 year old over-weight
lady, is their perfect client - but I recall hearing that she's
outgrowing the place, too.

In sum, I'd find it a good place to start out at, maybe 3 to 6 months,
but you really need to progress to something with both eccentric and
concentric movements (like free weights or Nautilus) if you want
continued progress.
