Default Diet suggestions please...

Fifteen pounds is probably not enough to affect blood pressure. How heavy
are you? Some blood pressure problems are hereditary rather than related to
weight and/or diet. When I was working one of the women there was very thin
but had to take medication for her hypertension.

| Hi Tonia,
|
| Actually I'm currently on the low-carb diet, and it has worked to a
| point. I wanted the opinions of other low-carb dieters because of
| the other health issues - high bloodpressure and potential high
| cholesterol.
|
| My question was very open-ended for all groups, which is why I
| crossposted. Bottom line is I figured once I lost some weight, my
| bloodpressure would drop. Thus far I've dropped 15 pounds and it
| hasn't effected my blood pressure. The diet I was given by my doctor
| that will help is a low-fat, low-calorie diet with no real regard to
| carbs. This will lower my bloodpressure and cholesterol, but it will
| slow my weight loss -- to a point.
|
| Thanks for the comments, and take care.
