That IS exciting :0)
I personally have a problem "standing still". In regards to weight, it
seems like I'm always on my way up or down, even if it's a small margin
(like 5 lbs).Be prepared to have to make small adjustments to maintain
status quo... I had a girlfriend who lost so much from stress preparing
for
her wedding, they just about couldn't alter the dress down far enough!

So,
don't be stressed, k?

det

Well - I just got home from trying on the dress again - meeting with the
woman who's going to do my alterations and accessorizing it. What I
decided to do was to buy a dress that is very simple from a dress shop, then
a friend at work has a neighbor who was a dress maker for yrs and is now
retired. This woman offered to make me a dress, but after seeing this one,
we decided to buy the dress and have her alter it and embroider it for me.
That way I get the wedding dress I was more or less looking for, at much
less the cost.

Here's the thing - I have to stay status quo for the chest, waist and hips
so that the dress will continue to fit correctly.

Oh, and get this - OK, so I'm 5'3 and fluctuate the 125 - 130 range. Most
clothing in a size 6 fits me. But in wedding gowns, a size 10. And when
going by the wedding gown measurements - the woman tonight was trying to get
me to order the size 12 and have it altered. (the 12 was pretty big - I'll
post some pics if you want to see them). So we ordered the 10 instead. 10
should fit almost perfect - except to take up in the length a bit. But, my
measurements for the dresses are dead on w/ a size 10. Where as go to any
department store or online shopping, and i'm a size 6.

Go figure. Its not that I'm going to gripe about being a size 10. What
ever. Just odd how the sizing is so different.

Did I mention one gown I tried this weekend - at this high end shop (sellign
Vera Wang, etc) that I tried on a size 10 and it fit absolutely perfect.
The shop owner was almost in tears when she saw the dress on me. She told
me how the runway models she uses in the fashion shows who are 6' tall and
rail thing - they can't fit into this dress, and the dress fit me like it
was made for me. Shame it was a $5,000 dress.... That's just a bit out
of my budget range. Heck - I contemplated asking her if she wanted to
trade some services - I do a website for her or something. but, she's
already got a website. So, I had to bypass on that dress and go for
something else.

But it was a wonderful compliment from the store owner. (and my friend who
was with me also gave me some wonderful compliments about my current
figure). it was such a motivational boost for me.
