Default Rough Night

Charlo,

I have a tendency to do a lot of my eating (snacking) late at night. What I
found to be helpful is to have healthy low snacks to munch on.

For example:
I count calories, so I will cut up a small cantaloupe (about 150 calories
for the whole thing) and snack on it late in the evening. But sometimes
To be honest, most of the time I don't want anything healthy, I want junk
food. So I fix something like fresh strawberries, sugar free chocolate
syrup, fat free whip topping, and a little splenda on top. It helps me to
feel like I'm cheating even thought I'm not.

Hot green tea (the flavored ones) also seems to help curb my desire to
munch, also sweetened with splenda. It's healthy too.

I also exercise when I start feeling peckish in the evening. It may not
feel me up, but it gets my mind off of it for a while. That is probably the
key,
do something to take your mind off of it. I know it is easier said than
done.

I hope something I said helps, and welcome to the group.

Jackie

Hi Jackie.....While you were dreaming that awful dream I was actually
carrying it out.Well some of it anyway. ...I just found this website
today and am hoping that reading and posting here will be helpful to my
problem of overeating, especially in the evening hours (even after I
have eaten a wholesome and healthy dinner.)....It is not from boredom
as I have an interesting and busy life but still I have this
uncontrollable desire to snack till the cows come home. It's not about
hunger and I can control myself quite nicely during the daytime
hours....Jackie or anyone else out there with any suggestions or if you
share my problem I would like to hear from you.....Charlo
