Well, this was the one that I couldn't ignore. Yes, Steve, you need to
see a doctor. The type of doctor you need to see depends on if you are
being accurate and truthful in your postings or if you just enjoy lying.

If you are true and accurate in your posting, for example: "I am eating FAR
less than even 1 week ago now as well, I just don't have the appetite
(perhaps 300-500 calories a day only), but I do feel great." (posted Friday,

well be dead right now. Based on a posting where you mention your weight
and height, "I am five foot 6 inches and weigh about 190 lbs. . ." (posted
Saturday, November 08, 2003 8:59 PM), assuming you are around 35 years old -
no reason, I picked the number out of the air - you need 1,619 calories a
day just to maintain your BMR (keeps your heart beating, lungs pumping) .
If you really are eating only 300 - 500 calories a day at 190#, you've long
ago collapsed and have been taken to the hospital. I hope your room has
internet access.

If, however, you aren't being truthful and accurate in your postings, the
doctor you need to see is a psychologist/psychiatrist. Anyone who finds
their pleasure in lying to strangers definitely needs a cranial adjustment.

Because I hate to think poorly of people, I'm going to believe a third
option, and that is that you just keep lousy records and are eating way more
than you are recording.

I think you're overreacting. I have days when I eat far below my BMR, on
Sundays when I have lunch with my family sometimes that is the only meal I
eat that day. When I'm working at my really physical job, sometimes I skip
breakfast because I have to be there so early, I eat a really quick, small
lunch, then come home and I'm so tired I go to bed right away without
dinner. I know it's not healthy if I did this every day, but I end up
getting back to normal the next day. Steve's appetite will return and he'll
be fine. You can go quite a while without eating very much and not die.
