Default This should jump-start my weight-loss again (long-winded)

Well, I weighed myself again. To review, I now run 5-6 times per
week, 5-7 milles at 60-90 minutes a pop, and have continued to avoid
flour, sugar, etc. (aside from wheat gluten and a few 'lower-carb'
tortillas), and for the most part, this has worked for me.

However, for the past month I've stuck at 215 pounds. Which is great,
mind you.... I haven't been this weight since college. On the other
hand, for a six-foot-three male, 215 puts me at a BMI of 26.9, mildly
overweight. Even with my large frame, I still have a bit more to go.

So, I just got the results of my TB test back from my doc... routine
visit, but I hit the jackpot and came out positive. Now I have to take
some medication (I forgot what it was called) for nine months, and the
best part is I CAN'T DRINK while I'm taking it! Instant excuse to cut
even more empty calories from my diet (alcohol), even when I thought I
couldn't eliminate any more.

So, I imagine within 2-3 months of starting this medication, if I
continue my lc-compliant lifestyle I should be well under 200.

Anyways, we'll see.

that sucks about the TB. Hubby turned postive about 10 yrs ago after working
in a hospital setting for 2 yrs. I've been fortunate that I've been in the
field 20 yrs and still remain negative. although the number of positive
children we are seeing is sad and frightening.

I have heard of some not very pleasant side effects from coworkers who have
taken the medication. (I can't remember it off the top of my head either)
but my advice would be to complete it. You don't want to risk having a
depressed immune system and having that TB become active. Best wishes on
that for you and congrats for the amazing WL.
