I saw some of their YouTube videos. Some people who lose weight by
low carbing try to cash in on it. ($)

If it is the same guy, he is trying to sell a diet bar.

So? He still lost a lot of weight and keeps it off. Everyone has to make a
living, do you think it's THAT easy to find the willpower to lose that
much weight for the shaky future prospect of making some money?

I attended a TOPS meeting for several months, some years ago. I wanted some
social support and I was curious how "weigh-ins" would effect me.

While I applaud anyone that works at weight control, I couldn't help being
put off by several aspects of the program.

One of the aspects, which goes along with this thread, is that they had a
group of about 8 people in their "KOPS" program. The KOPS people were
members *at goal* and working to maintain. Each week the KOPS group would
go to the front to declare their success with recited words together. My
problem with them was that with perhaps one exception these "victors" were
obese.
