Nuts. Peanuts, cashews, almonds. Look at the snack sizes for these. I
recently went to 3 different stores before finding a simple 2 1/2 oz bag of
peanuts (they're supposed to be good for U, right?) that, at 160 calories and
ounce, is still 400 calories. What were my other choices? Wawa's own-brand
packaged peanuts at 6 ounces a bag. 6 ounces! 960 calories!!!!

You aren't obligated to eat an entire container of anything all at one
sitting. How hard is it to measure out a serving and just eat that?

Its real hard to do where snacks are usually eaten... the car. I eat 'em at
the desk at work too, but at least these, except for 1, are about the right
size out of the candy machine...

Soooo... corporate culpability is a real thing, as far as I'm concerned,
in the constant fight to eat reasonably.

The only person responsible for the food that ends up in your mouth is
you.

Well, that may be true for the peanuts... although these are _awful_ hard to
leave alone once you get going, and these corporations know that. Plus, once
the bag is open, they're all over the place - under the seats, between the
carpet pieces, in the door pockets - you can't keep 'em contained. Eat 'em
now, or end up picking 'em out from the floorboards and tossing them out the
window for the small animals... I've had these bags that the peanuts come in
actually "tear" and almost dump their contents in my hand when I do eat 'em.
These things are not easily resealable.

But the cokes / pepsi's - you either drink 'em all, or... you have a _warm_
coke/pepsi after you seal it and then try to come back to it later in the day.
I just think that the Corporations can't get a "pass" on their culpability in
helping make America fat all the way to a health crisis, which this is. They
need to bury their greed, and start _helping_, by making the "right" size
portions at least _available_. I mean, I went to those 3 stores because the
1st two didn't even _have_ the 2 to 2.5 oz bag I was looking for...

Recently, the candy machine people substituted the "King Size" Hershey with
Almods bar I was eating at the regular size. Not only is this thing $1.00
instead of 65 cents, but it is huge! I don't know how many calories it is, but
its more than I want to dive into. And... they're not helping... but they're
not going to sell it to me.
