Default losing weight overnight

For what its worth, I (bought a scale and) weighed myself every day for a
week. I don't think the daily averages mean much. I did cheat twice,
significantly, over the long weekend, and I assume that's why I didn't lose
much.

The day-to-day thing is interesting, though. All morning weigh-ins, fresh
out of the shower, about the same time of day. I "lost" five pounds on
Saturday night ;-) Five pounds variation from day-to-day isn't unusual for
me.

More significantly, my belt went in one more notch today. I'm on the last
notch now, so I have to take it into the shoe repair place and have the
buckle moved in a bit.

Here are the day-to-day fluctuations:

255 (7/1)
256.5
257
258.5
257.5
258.5
259.5
254.5 (7/8)

I sometimes weight myself right before I go to bed, and then in the
morning. The weird think I have noticed is that I can actally lose
1/2kg or more overnight. Yes, I may pee during that time, but surely
that does not account for the rest of it. I suppose it is do with
water retention, and some also goes as sweat, but it does seem a
staggering amount.

Is that normal? I am not concerned, just more surprised really. Oh, I
way about 71kg (for % purposes).
