Default Water, Coffee, & Crystal Light

There is no evidence that I have seen that we really need to drink all of
this water in the first place. Also, I have not found that it makes a
difference to weight loss or to appetite.

So, while it is clear that on a LC diet which is high in fiber (hopefully)
one should get plenty of fluids to keep things moving, it is not clear to me
that one has to worry so much about where the liquid comes from.

So, I don't pay attention to the notion of one must drink 200 gallons or so
of water every day. I get my liquid from coffee, Fruit 2O, and diet vanilla
pepsi or coke, or tea! The only thing I do is pay attention to how many
carbs are in that stuff -- so all of the coffee I drink I count that, plus
any bulky AS used, plus the half-n-half. Basically, i count everything. And
when I do everything right (control kcals & carbs & eat under maintenance &
exercise), I lose weight.

YMMV. Do what works for you. And if what you do doesn't work, modify your
game plan til you find what does work.
