Not a zealot just knowledgeable about your weaknesses. I've got to
accept mine and stop buying so much WHATEVER and having it around. So
far I'm doing well with the chocolate cake stored in the back of the
freezer. But the tons of dried fruit and miss meringues are just out
there - I need a larger pantry system here.

And yesterday, I discovered Fry's Electronic has Miss Meringues (sigh)
and managed to down most of a tub between lunch time and the drive
home. KNOW THY WEAKNESSES!

... and today I found my grocer loaded up on mini meringues, no larger sizes
available at all (wonder if this is now the best selling option). Of course,
among those mini's were 2 new flavors I had never seen before ... chocolate chip
and mint chocolate chip. I couldn't resist. sigh

You're right, of course. I confess that on one or two occasions, I've
had to figure out the points for a whole tub. And at the end of a
week, I've had points to spare.

You hit the nail on the head, though, because the issue isn't so much
about the number of points, or going over points. For me, the loss of
control and the self-recrimination that follows are simply not worth
any amount of points. I'd rather be honest about my lack of willpower
and thus avoid those foods that call my name than be honest about
having mindlessly devoured an entire box of cookies in one sitting. I
find it easier to say No to the first bite than to stop once I've
started.

Lest you think I'm a zealot, if they were packaged and sold in single
servings, I'd happily treat myself to one of those on grocery shopping
day.

You know - even if you blow it, I think the whole tub is still less

such loss of control (G)
