Default NYNY update - Joyce

same here - I enjoyed way too much! Unfortunately, I was stuffed and a bit
uncomfortable, but not as bad as previous years. I was fine until the desserts
hit ... think all the rich chocolate is what pushed me over the edge. Sounds like
all of us here were successful in not letting one day become the end of the road -
we all seem to have jumped right back on track. Yeah for us!!!

Too much in the way of leftover desserts here too. Pie has already made it's way
to the freezer, and just a few slices of the cake left. I like your idea of just
eating the apple pie filling. Doesn't that count as a fruit serving? G

Too much Thanksgiving STUFF and stuffING. (g)

Not to the point of discomfort like many previous food orgies but too
much nonetheless. Back to simple today. Most already planned or
done. Oatmeal for breakfast (cooked in 6 day batches), a peanut
butter and jelly sandwich for lunch left over from yesterday's ski
trip, and an already cooked yam toward tonight's dinner.

I have too much leftover apple pie and I'm thinking of un-crusting the
fruit and just eating that (g)

LOL! Soda has been screaming at me this week, and I have absolutely no idea why.
I don't even care for soda that much, don't have more than a sip or two when I do
actually give in. So why now?

LOL! I think the meringues have more of a grab on me these days. I
haven't had
many skinny cows, seem to have moved out of that habit. BUT ... my local
store
had *cool peppermint* flavor last week. I haven't seen that before so had
to pick
a package up. BIG mistake ... they now keep calling my name. g

I'm in the groove with the rest of the NYNY maintenance group ... down
1 pound
this week ... 130. Once again the actual weighin Friday morning was
lower, and
much as I would love to post anything in that 120 decade ... I'm
averaging, and
average tells me 130. I'm happy, happy, happy.

Evidentally eating more does help, as long as *more* is within reason.
A few
weeks prior I think I was existing on next to nothing, watching things
just a bit
too carefully as well as falling back into the trap of not drinking
enough water.
Then again, maybe the loss was extra muscle water retention? This
week I only
managed to squeeze in 2 days of exercise. My own fault, no excuses.
I had one or
two busy days, then found myself fallen into some sort of a funk -
just couldn't
drag myself to do much of anything other than whine about everything.
Today I
took a step into the right direction. Instead of just sitting here, I
hauled my
butt to the basement and walked for 45 minutes - right back into the
old routine.
If only I could remind myself how much of a mood lifter the exercise
is! I have
felt great the rest of today.
