While I'm not "doing" Weight Watchers, health problems in March triggered me
to lose weight. At the time, I was 39 years old, and around 370 lbs (around,
because I refused to weigh). After a month of serious dieting, and pathetic
efforts at exercise, I finally weighed - 357 lbs. Even at 6' 1", that's
still very heavy, and I felt it every minute of every day. Now 40, I went to
the doctor today with dizziness, and weighed 266lbs. The dizziness was low
blood pressure since I was still taking medication even after the weight
loss. My wife and I are just eating right, walking 30 minutes daily, and
leaning on each other for motivation and support (she has lost 55 lbs in the
same time period). I did a newsgroup search on "weight" and found this
group. I intend to read it daily, looking for continued motivation and
support. Keep up the good work!! It WILL be worth it!!

You have done very well there! Those are impressive losses! And well
done on the lowered blood pressure, too.

Just eating the right food, taking the exercise that suits you, and
portion control are really all WW is about. There are a lot of people
here who are not actually using WW formally, and we still like to
support and encourage them. Some of us lose quickly, some slowly...
You will notice that as you and your wife lose more, the loss rate will
slow down. That is natural, to be expected, and better than rapid loss
all the way, which makes it harder to maintain once you get to the
weight you want to be.

Good luck on the downward journey!
