While I'm not "doing" Weight Watchers, health problems in March triggered me
to lose weight. At the time, I was 39 years old, and around 370 lbs (around,
because I refused to weigh). After a month of serious dieting, and pathetic
efforts at exercise, I finally weighed - 357 lbs. Even at 6' 1", that's
still very heavy, and I felt it every minute of every day. Now 40, I went to
the doctor today with dizziness, and weighed 266lbs. The dizziness was low
blood pressure since I was still taking medication even after the weight
loss. My wife and I are just eating right, walking 30 minutes daily, and
leaning on each other for motivation and support (she has lost 55 lbs in the
same time period). I did a newsgroup search on "weight" and found this
group. I intend to read it daily, looking for continued motivation and
support. Keep up the good work!! It WILL be worth it!!

WOW!! You are doing great - 100lbs plus lost. Good news about the
blood pressure too. Losing weight does great things to blood
pressure Your wife must be pleased too. It seems to be harder for
ladies to lose weight than guys.

It's worth persevering with the exercise, not cos it helps to lose
weight (though it does help a little), but more because of the health
side of things. It took me a while to get into the exercise thing.
Cleaning the car was about as much as I wanted to do at first. Then I
found weightlifting.

Good luck to you both
