I have been dropping fat but I find that during times of stress, I am
likely to cheat. My doc mentioned CBT as a way to help control my
thoughts about food.

Well, not for angry eating. However I've been doing CBT for the past
6 months because of serious clinical depression. One side effect of
my depression is that my eating is all over the place - I won't eat
(at all) for days on end because I'm just not hungry, then I'll binge
for a few days and eat all the wrong things. Stupid, I know, but
depression really does a number on me.

Since starting the CBT I find I'm more *mindful* of my eating. I
still suffer from depression (although I'm starting to see light at
the end of the tunnel, and this time it doesn't seem to be an oncoming
train!) but I'm eating more steadily and healthfully, more strict to
my LC plans, and that's got to be a Good Thing.

I'm not losing weight - but long-timers here know I find it extremely
difficult to lose weight at the best of times and the past 3 years
have definitely NOT been the Best Of Times.
