This is sort of a strange thing but the last few of times that I've done a
long workout (30 minutes on treadmill, 30 min on recumbent bike and trying
to do 30 on elliptical) my sweat has started burning the area under my eyes.
Since the first time it happened, I've made sure that there's no makeup or
any kind of moisturizer or wrinkle therapy cream on my face. It only
happens when I've been sweating heavily for a while (at least an hour) and
then it only burns the under eye area especially the left eye. I've started
trying to drink more water both while I'm exercising and just during the day
and I stopped yesterday when I started feeling the sting. I went and rinsed
my face off and tried to cool down so I'd stop sweating but the damage was
already done. I have a angry red blotch stretching from the corner of my
left eye to my noise almost and an inch the other direction. The redness
under the right eye didn't get as bad and it's already gone away. Anyone
have any ideas why this is happening and what else (besides not working out
at all) I could do about it?

You don't have to avoid working out at all, just don't work out for over
an hour at a time. The painful sweat may be because you're sweating
ammonia. You're probably burning muscle from those excessively long
cardio workouts. Why not up the intensity and cut back on the time?
